Summary:

Sperry Partners Group is urgently looking for a IT Security Specialist for a major IT project in Belgium. Please see below for the technical skills required for this role:

Job description:

• Risk management and security analysis of the IT environment.
• The definition of ‘policies’ for users and IT technical services based on a general security strategy.
• Implementation and follow-up of these policies through the preparation and development of software and hardware technical solutions and the technical management and tuning of these solutions.
• Be able to execute pentests on a variety of systems and report extensively on the results and solutions to address problems.
• Regular assessment of the state of computer and telecommunication systems in the context of protection against threats (viruses, attacks by hackers, etc.).
• Formulate proposals and implement new solutions to be able to detect and respond to new threats.
• Effective intervention in crisis situations (organized attacks, intrusions into the network, detection of viruses, …) and to plan scenarios to react effectively in these situations.
• Provide technical solutions to secure connections to external partners, intranet and the Internet.

Background:

• Be graduated or licensed in computer science or electronics.
• Successful experience of at least 5 years in the performance of a similar function.
• In particular, have at least 5 years’ hands-on experience in managing all aspects of IT security in an IT environment of at least 100 sites and / or at least 5000 users.
• Certified in GIAC / CISSP / OSCP / SANS (preferably one or more)

Have a thorough knowledge:

• TCP / IP, http, https, SSL, and SNMP
• Scripting, SQL, Linux commands, DNS, IDS-IPS
• routers, “statefull packet inspection” firewalls and application firewalls
• products ‘endpoint protection’
• VPN solutions (of the ‘remote access VPN’ type as well as of the ‘site-to-site VPN’ type)
• Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Prevention (IDS / IPS)
• systems for protection against viruses, cryptowares
• content inspection engines for messaging and web browsing systems
• Radius, Cloud solutions and protection
• Terminal-server solutions such as Citrix
• monitoring and log correlation tools
• penetration testing, crypto-basics, firewalling and forensic inspection tools
• Microsoft Windows Server, Enterprise linux server (preferably RedHat Enterprise Linux) and Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, …)
• Have a thorough knowledge of the security of wireless local area networks (WiFi, WPA, WPA2).
• Knowledge of encryption principles and algorithms (Public Key, Private Key, RSA, DES, 3DES, AES, Rijndael, …).
• Know how to use Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, …)
